Paleo Baked Pears with Maple Syrup & Pecans
Delicious warm Paleo baked pears smothered in maple syrup and pecans. Perfect for breakfast with non-dairy yogurt or dessert with ice cream.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Remove the stem from all pears and cut lengthwise in half.
Take a tablespoon and make a rounded pocket into each half removing the seeds and some flesh. Place pears onto the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, combine chopped pecans, maple syrup, cinnamon, and sea salt.
Using the same tablespoon, scoop mixture into each pear halve.
Bake pears in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until tender.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the pears to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
- Baked pears are best served warm.
- Top baked pears with yogurt for breakfast or with ice cream for dessert.
