Easy Paleo Tuna Salad

Paleo, Minimal Ingredients, Easy, Allergy-Friendly

The Paleo lifestyle is still relatively new to me (like three years new). So growing up eating Tuna Salad meant eating a ‘special’ noddle dish that had tuna in it. My mom still makes it to this day.

Homemade Paleo Tuna Salad is easy to make AND great for meal prepping. Change up your palate today with fun ways to eat your Tuna Salad.

Truth, I never liked (and still don’t) like tuna on its own. I guess I could thank my mother for always overprocessing my meals for me. My husband, on the other hand, can eat tuna right out of the can – I cringe just thinking about. In order to get my omega-3s and vegetables in I created a Paleo tuna dish that is not only delicious but easy to make.

Tuna

Sourcing the best tuna that doesn’t break the bank and is accessible to you can sometimes be hard. Living in farmland Wisconsin fresh and sustainably sourced tuna is hard to come by.

After doing much research, I finally found a brand that wouldn’t break the bank, and I could find at most local grocers; Wild Planet.

Wild Planet’s tuna is pole and line caught in the northern part of the Pacific Ocean or off coastal New Zealand, maintaining natural populations and preserving the ecosystem.

Each BPA-free can of tuna is packed with boneless and skinless fillets, preserved in natural juices, and sealed tight for the best nutritional value and flavor.

How to Make Paleo Tuna Salad in Ten Minutes

A typical can of tuna from Wild Planet runs about $3.99.

This may sound steep for some, but the quality and how it’s sourced outweighs any 99-cent can of fake tuna submerged in vegetable oil. I can promise you that!

P.S You can purchase a Wild Planet six-pack of tuna at Costco for 14.99 – that will save you roughly $9.

Another good brand of canned tuna to look into is Safe Catch.
