Paleo, Homemade, Grain Free, Not from a can – 30-Minute Family Dinner

I’ve been dying for some sloppy, Paleo Sloppy Joe’s lately! This was one of my favorite meals growing up, despite the fact my mother used canned Manwich. (EW) In my defense, I didn’t know difference back then, but I do now! Wow, what a difference!!

Homemade Paleo Sloppy Joe’s are Paleo AND easy to make. Great home cooked healthful meal for busy families — Ready in thirty minutes.

I went out on a limb here and came up with this delicious alternative to your traditional Sloppy Joe’s based off of what I had on hand; which Paleo ketchup was not one of them.

I’ll admit I was slightly lazy in the kitchen yesterday so making ketchup homemade was out of the question, hell, I didn’t even make Paleo buns.

Instead, I toppled it over Siete’s Grain-Free Tortilla Chips and made Paleo Sloppy Joe’sNOchos‘.

OMG, so good!! Plus, the kids (and husband) went crazy over it! I don’t think we’ll ever eat Paleo Sloppy Joe’s any other way!

Naturally free of grains, gluten, dairy, soy, sugar, legumes, and all things processed.

Enjoy extra family time tonight with this one pan ready in 30 minutes meal! This is like music to my ears!

Ingredients

Time needed: 30 minutes.

How to Make Homemade Paleo Sloppy Joe’s

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add in EVOO, garlic, onions, and bell peppers. Cook vegetables down for about five minutes.

  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain fat.

  3. Add tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, coconut aminos, chili powder, oregano, cayenne powder, salt, and pepper.

  4. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low for 25 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Tips & Tricks

  • Top over your favorite Paleo bun, bread, chip, or tortilla, and enjoy!
  • Place ingredients in a crockpot on low for six hours in the morning before work or after sending the kids off to school.
