Cute story… When my oldest was three, I jokingly told him that these delicious round specimens were meatballs. He loved meatballs at the time, so I figured it was a great way to get him to try something new and health{ier}.

He loved these ‘meatballs’ so much he asked to eat them for dinner. Well, being the mean mom I am, I made real meatballs for dinner. Boy, you should have seen the ugly look I got, which was followed by tears of disappointment and a lot of screaming.

To this day he still calls them meatballs and doesn’t care for the real deal beef balls anymore.
