Just because you’re eating healthier doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy this Paleo banana strawberry dairy-free ice cream treat whenever the craving calls.

How to Make Paleo Ice Cream

Enjoy this refreshing dairy-free ice cream this summer (or whenever the craving calls). With only three ingredients (fresh banana, strawberries, and a little non-dairy milk), you can make this sweet frozen treat at a moment’s notice. You’ll never feel like your missing ice cream again as you indulge in this healthy alternative!

This is the perfect dessert to make ahead of time, so when you are ready to bask in the sun (or veg out on the couch), your sweet frozen treat will be prepared and ready for you!

While there are many ‘healthier’ dairy-free options in the frozen aisle of the grocery store, there is always that ONE ingredient that sticks out as a Paleo no-no. If you are in a hurry or are looking for a healthier option, it’s okay to purchase without guilt and enjoy, but most days, making a homemade version of our favorite ice cream is always best.

You’ll want to read this blog post in its entirety for more helpful tips and tricks you’d typically by-pass. Or, if you are feeling lucky, jump to the recipe below and get started!

Either way, I’d love to hear how your dairy-free ice cream turned out, so please leave a comment and share it with your friends and family.

Basic Staples for Making Paleo Banana Strawberry Dairy-Free Ice Cream

Bananas – Bananas make an excellent all-natural sweetener, and they make the base of this dairy-free ice cream. I prefer to use ripe bananas to avoid waste (try my banana bread recipe) and because of their sweeter taste and mushy texture.

Frozen Strawberries – I use frozen strawberries for this recipe to speed up the freezing process. You can use fresh strawberries as well, or half fresh and half frozen.

Coconut Milk I use full-fat coconut milk for a dairy-free creamy texture. If you are sensitive to the coconut taste, I can assure you; you won’t taste the coconut! If you wish, you can swap it out for equal parts of almond or cashew milk.
