Loaded Paleo Burger Bowls with Ranch Dressing

Get creative with your burger bowls and load them up with all your favorite burger ingredients or follow the recipe below! Either way, you’ll enjoy this delicious and nutritious rendition of a traditional burger!

There are so many ways you can make this dish; the options are limitless! This recipe is excellent for using up leftover burger meat, meal prepping lunch, or as a quick weeknight dinner.

A lot of the ingredients in this recipe can be swapped out with similar components. For example, I prefer romaine lettuce, but honestly, you can use any lettuce you have on hand or your favorite! I kept the dressing to any Paleo dressing because this bowl isn’t strict when it comes to ingredients and your preferences.

You’ll want to read this blog post in its entirety for more helpful tips and tricks you’d typically by-pass. Or, if you are feeling lucky, jump to the recipe below and get started!

Either way, I’d love to hear how your loaded burger bowl turned out, so please leave a comment and share it with your friends and family.

How to Make Loaded Paleo Burger Bowls

1. Heat avocado oil in a medium cast iron skillet over medium-high heat for 2 to 4 minutes or until the oil starts to shimmer.

2. Season burger patties with your desired spices (salt, pepper, garlic, etc.) and place them into the hot skillet and cook for 5 minutes. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the burger is cooked to your liking. (145 degrees for medium-rare and 160 for medium). Remove burgers from the skillet and allow them to rest while you prepare your bowl.

3. Place 2 cups romaine into a bowl and cover with 1 sliced burger patty, 2 ounces sliced onions and mushrooms, 1-ounce grape tomatoes, 1 sliced pickle, 1/2 avocado, and top with 2 tablespoons ranch dressing. Repeat the process for the second serving.

How to Store Loaded Paleo Burger Bowls

For storing purposes, its best to store ingredients separately. If you are making lunch for the next day, you can place everything into an airtight container in the refrigerator, but you’ll want to separate the dressing, so the lettuce does not become soggy.

Essential Equipment for Making Loaded Paleo Burger Bowls

Basic Staples for Making Loaded Paleo Burger Bowls

Beef – Grass-fed and organic when possible or from a reputable and trusted source.

Avocado Oil – Avocado oil is perfect for cooking at high temperatures because of it’s high smoke point.

Produce – Local or organic produce is always best. If you can not source either, buying conventional produce will work! It’s best to wash all produce before using!

Paleo-Approved Dressing – I use Primal Kitchen’s ranch dressing for my bowl, but feel free to use one of your favorites like their dairy-free thousand island dressing.
