Homemade Laundry Soap

All Natural, Chemical-Free, Easy, Minimal ingredients, Powder

Hi, Mama! With budget-friendly Homemade Laundry Soap your once dreaded chore will turn into a healthy decision the whole family will benefit from.

Homemade Laundry Soap is all natural and chemical free. Easy to make, budget-friendly, and requires minimal ingredients. Last up to six months.

Laundry day… the most dreaded day of the week. I heard your cry for help as you poured in the last of your store-bought laundry soap into the washer with four more loads to go.

The last thing you want to do is leave the house with crabby kids to purchase more chemically altered, and fragrance filled products. Not only are those store-bought brands horrible for your families health; they are darn right expensive!

Even with a coupon, your ten dollar bottle of unknown fragrance will only get you 20-30 loads. With kids in school, extracurricular activities, and never-ending playdates, your lucky if you can make it a whole month before having to buy more.

Don’t worry, Mama. There is hope.

Life before kids

Before kids, I absolutely had zero concepts or knowledge about the products I used regularly. I always picked the cheapest brands that smelt the best without caring if it may be detrimental to my health.

When I become pregnant with my son, I started researching some of our most common household products. It was astonishing to me, the number of chemicals, fragrances, and unknown Franken ingredients that were listed AND were known to cause health issues with long-term use.

If I wasn’t willing to use these products on my son, why would I continue to use them on myself?

The Baby Shower

During my baby shower my sister-in-law shared her experience with having a kid and how things had changed for their little family. One of the most important things she shared was changing what she used to wash their clothes.

Before that conversation I never realized the amount of money I was spending and the amount of unknown chemcials I was using weekly unbeknowst to me.

My sister-in-law gave me a simple three ingredient recipe for powdered laundry soap that I’ve since modified to fit our family’s budget and what is readily available at most stores.

Making this Homemade Laundry Soap budget-friendly, chemical and fragrance-free, while having an effective cleaning power was my goal.
