Healthy Homemade Chocolate Recipe that is Paleo AND easy to make! Great for a special treat or to give as gifts any day of the year.

Wouldn’t you agree?

You don’t need a reason to treat yourself to a little chocolate, but it will make feel less guilty to indulge on a holiday.

Valentines Day

It’s just another Hallmark holiday where your damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Honestly, I don’t need exotic T-rex rides or presents. Valentine Day is just another day where I’ll probably serve up some steak and vegetables and indulge in my Healthy Homemade Chocolate Recipe.

And I’m totally fine with that. I don’t need anything fancy or big to be shown I’m loved.

Just a nap and a beer… or a shot of tequila.

Hey, don’t judge, it’s a holiday.

Chocolate

Yes, I’d agree to purchase chocolate from the store that is ‘somewhat’ Paleo or healthy would be easier than making your own. But buying these types of chocolates can be damaging to your health, and it is costly.

Many chocolates claim to be healthy and pure, but most of them are loaded with unnecessary fillers and knock off sugar products. These sugars play a considerable role in systemic inflammation. They wreak havoc on your metabolic processes leading into high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and heart attack when consumed in excess over a period of time.

*When purchasing chocolate make sure it’s 85% or higher cacao content to ensure its quality.

Okay, enough about the health lesson and back to the main topic; these Healthy Homemade Chocolate Recipe.

Just like Halloween, I’m mentally preparing myself for my kids to bring home loads of sweets this Valentines Day. ::sigh::

I have zero self-control, especially when Reeses Peanut Butter Cups are around. It’s hard for me to limit myself to just ‘one.’ So instead of breaking the gut and going through a sugar withdrawal – I’m making as many Valentine hearts with my Healthy Homemade Chocolate Recipe as I can.

And so should you!

This dessert is the perfect treat for any dietary following or health nut in your life. Regardless of your dietary restrictions, this Healthy Homemade Chocolate Recipe is one treat you won’t want to turn down.
