Essential Tools for Executing Paleo Dishes

Essential Budget-Friendly Kitchen Equipment to Have on Hand

These must-have budget-friendly essential tools for executing Paleo dishes should hold the foundation of every home chef’s kitchen!

Essential Tools for Executing Paleo Dishes

Just like a well-stocked pantry and fridge, a kitchen stocked full of essential tools can help you execute any Paleo dish at a moment’s notice!

When it comes to cooking, my favorite saying is ‘keep it simple.’ The truth is, you don’t need expensive kitchen gadgets when it comes to dishing out delicious meals!

While you only need a few essentials for most of my recipes, I also listed some nice to have options for those more complex recipes.

The best part, you probably have most of these kitchen essentials already, and if you don’t, they are relatively inexpensive to purchase, and they can easily be found on Amazon and shipped right to you!

Below you’ll find my favorite kitchen tools for a well thought out kitchen that won’t collect dust or take up any unnecessary room.

Cast-Iron Skillet

The cast-iron skillet is so versatile when it comes to cooking meals on all types of surfaces. Get the perfect sear on your meats over the stovetop or bring with you camping and cook your meals over the fire! For all-around cooking, a standard 10-inch skillet will get the job done.

Crockpot

I’m all about effortless cooking, and the crockpot (otherwise known as the slow cooker) provides just that! The crockpot is perfect for busy families that are looking to have dinner ready as soon as they walk through the door! A 6-quart crockpot (or larger) is optimal for families and making extras for leftovers. Check out these effortless Paleo Crockpot Recipes!

Food Processor

Having a food processor on hand is an excellent way to cut back on prep time! Avoid shredding, mixing, and chopping and let this time-saving tool do all the work for you! A standard eight cup or smaller food processor will keep food preparations to a minimum and the sweat off your forehead.

Stainless Steel Baking Sheet

Having at least one standard-sized baking sheet with an edge on hand is perfect for baking cookies, roasting vegetables, or cooking bacon. You’ll probably end up finding yourself using this kitchen tool more than you thought! For a mess-free clean-up, place a sheet of parchment paper or silicone mat over the top to avoid food from sticking.

Stainless Steel Stockpot

When it comes to making sauces, gravies, and boiling your vegetables, having a medium or large stockpot with a glass lid on hand makes a huge difference! If your budget allows, having a few different sizes is optimal, but for those just starting out, a 2 to 3-quart stockpot will do!

Sharp Knife

When it comes to sharp knives, I’m not talking about the steak knives hanging out on your counter. I am talking about real high carbon stainless steel knives that cut with ease. These knives will last forever, and you only need one of these bad boys in your kitchen!

Measuring Tools

Eyeballing ingredients just won’t cut it when it comes to Paleo baking and cooking! When it comes to measuring out your recipes, having durable measuring cups and spoons is essential! The proper measurements will ensure a delicious creation every time.

Cooking Utensils

You wouldn’t go into a fight without a weapon, so you shouldn’t go into the kitchen without the proper cooking utensils! The best cooking utensils to have on hand are wooden or stainless steel serving spoon, slotted spoon, tongs, whisk, slotted turner, and spatula.

Nice-To-Have Kitchen Essentials

These are helpful to have on hand if your budget and space allow, but they are not essential when it comes to executing a simple Paleo meal from my recipe collection.

Bamboo Cutting Board
Mixing Bowls
Spiralizer
Mandoline
Grill or Cast-Iron Grill Pan
Can Opener
Colander
Vegetable Peeler
Muffin Pan
Thermometer
Glass Food Storage Containers
