My once monthly trip to Costco has turned into a weekly chore. Thankfully, my husband does not know how much I spend, or I’m sure my debit card might come up missing and divorce papers in the workings. {JK}

So, yesterday, I went into Costco for eggs and walked out with a cart full of Paleo staples, including these All Natural Dried Montmorency Cherries. Which ultimately lead me to the creation of these simple Paleo Chocolate Covered Cherries.

For this recipe, I used 1.5 ounces of Paleo chocolate. I purchased this one from and I literally just broke it in half. When eating or baking with chocolate make sure the cacao content is higher than 75% This will ensure your chocolate is nutritious and minimally processed. {The chocolate bar I used has 95% cacao}.

These Chocolate Covered Cherries are fun and delicious to snack on. Enjoy them on your next road trip, movie night, or as an after dinner treat. Plus, they are Paleo and Vegan!

  • 1 Cup Dried Cherries
  • 1.5 ounces Paleo Chocolate Bar


  1. In an edged baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a small saucepan over low heat melt chocolate.

  3. Once the chocolate has melted; dump your dried cherries in and stir until they are evenly coated.

  4. Dump your chocolate covered cherries onto your prepared sheet and spread out. Sprinkle with sea salt {if desired}.

  5. Place in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes to dry.

Recipe Notes

  • If you do not have a Paleo chocolate bar on hand, you can use Enjoy Life chocolate chips or whatever chocolate you fancy.
