Hi, Mama! Last week I shared with you my families favorite smoothie the Blueberry Pie Smoothie. This week we are keeping it simple with this Chocolate Banana Smoothie, aka The Chocolate Monkey as my toddler like to call it.

Homemade Chocolate Banana Smoothie is Paleo, Vegan, AND easy to make. With minimal delicious ingredients, will surely please even the pickiest of eaters

I’m very grateful my boys are not picky when it comes to food. Some days I do struggle with getting them to eat their daily essential nutrients. I’ve found making delicious, and kid-friendly smoothies like this Chocolate Banana Smoothie makes it easier to sneak in those essentials.

Chocolate Banana Smoothie – Add-ins for Kids

  • Almond Butter – provides antioxidants and vitamin E while promoting oxygen and blood flow
  • Spinach or Kale – extreme nutrient-rich vegetables full of vitamins and minerals for healthy growth
  • Garden of Life Raw Kid Probiotics – provides essential vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and prebiotics
  • Live Wise Vitamin K2-D3 – without vitamin K2 we cannot absorb vitamin D3 which is crucial for development

None of these add-ins are necessary for making this smoothie. They are just suggestions to boost the nutritional profile of this recipe. The supplements above provide the missing nutrients without compromising the flavor.
