Caribbean-Spiced Chicken Wings
Paleo, Keto, Allergy-Friendly, Minimal Ingredients, Easy
Take your taste buds on vacation to the warmth of the Caribbean with these Paleo Caribbean-spiced chicken wings. These make a perfect appetizer or dinner.
I’m at the point in my life where I can only dream about taking a Caribbean vacation. Being a full-time mom, housewife, and a business owner, finding time to make dinner lately seems to be hard enough, let alone trying to schedule a vacation in.
For me, the best ‘vacations’ are those when the grandparents take the kids for a night or two, and the husband and I can pretend we know how to ‘adult’ without kids.
So in the meantime, the closest feeling I’ll be getting to a Caribbean vacation is through these spiced chicken wings!
These wings are perfect for parties, tailgating, or as a quick way to spice up your weekday meal.
You’ll want to read this blog post in its entirety for more helpful tips and tricks you’d typically by-pass. Or, if you are feeling lucky, jump to the recipe below and get started!
Either way, I’d love to hear how your Caribbean-spiced chicken wings turned out, so please leave a comment and share it with your friends and family.
How to Make Caribbean-Spiced Chicken Wings
Your taste buds will take an adventure to the Caribbean with the delicious flavor notes of the tropical spices found throughout each bite.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line an edged baking sheet with parchment paper and top with a greased oven-safe wire rack. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine coconut sugar, paprika, ginger, coriander, thyme, allspice, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder.
- In a large bowl, combine chicken wings and spices until each wing is evenly coated with seasoning.
Tip: To cut back on dishes, combine chicken wings, and seasoning into a sealable plastic bag. This trick is also great if you are going to prepare and marinate your wings in advance.
- Line the chicken wings onto the prepared wire rack without overlapping and bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until wings are golden brown and crisp.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow wings to cool for 5 minutes before serving with your favorite Paleo-approved dipping sauce.
Tip: My favorite dipping sauces are from Primal Kitchen. Check out their wide selection on Amazon.
How To Store Caribbean-Spiced Chicken Wings
Chicken wings can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. I highly suggest reheating these in the oven to keep their crisp, versus getting soggy in the microwave.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and place wings onto parchment paper-lined baking sheet and reheat for 6 to 8 minutes or until warmed.
Leftover wings can either be eaten as is or get creative by shredding the meat off the bone and adding to your favorite salad for some extra protein.
Essential Equipment to Make Caribbean-Spiced Chicken Wings
Baking Sheet – I love my baking sheets, there is plenty of room and they are easy to clean. (Especially when topped with parchment paper).
Oven-Safe Wire Rack – Wire racks are perfect for obtaining an all-around even crisp to the chicken wings without having to turn them during the baking process.

Basic Staples for Making Caribbean-Spiced Chicken Wings
Chicken Wings – For most of us hunting down or raising our own chicken is out of the question, so the next best option is purchasing locally pastured raised chickens. You can typically find pastured raised chickens at farmer’s markets, co-ops, local farms, and butchers.
Spices – My favorite organic spices are from Simply Organic. Their gift set makes the perfect holiday present or gift for the new baker in your life.
